SatelliteRadio.com - More Lost Traffic

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

Neither Sirius or XM owns SatelliteRadio.com.
Sirius and XM pay for text ads and the owner of SatelliteRadio.com gets paid to redirect traffic to their sites.  Wasted money in my opinion.  One of these companies should of been smart enough to own the generic domain of the product they sell.
I just don’t think these companies understand Internet […]

Karmazin Should Leave Sirius

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

This may come at a strange time with the merger decision coming soon, but I don’t think Sirius needs a radio guy anymore.  The company has compelling content with or without the merger, and the same holds for XM.  Sirius, XM, or the combined company needs a creative marketing and distribution guy or girl that can think outside the […]

Interesting comments out of Patrick Walsh the CFO of Emmis Communications. Walsh’s words do not match the NAB’s illustration of a powerful monopolistic merger.
From the Noble Financial Conference in Charleston, SC, Emmis Communications CFO Patrick Walsh was asked about the threat to terrestrial radio from satellite radio. Walsh stated, “We at Emmis have viewed […]

On Monday the NAB filed additional comments with the FCC asking them to strike down the proposed merger between Sirius and XM Satellite Radio.
