Starting this fall, K-State football and men’s basketball games will air nationwide on Sirius. Under the agreement, SIRIUS has the exclusive satellite radio rights to the K-State broadcasts, featuring the Voice of the Wildcats, play-by-play announcer Wyatt Thompson. Kansas State opens its 2007 football season at 6:45 p.m., (CT), Saturday, Sept. 1 at Auburn. The game will air nationwide on Sirius channel 122. K-State game schedule on Sirius. “Kansas State has a long history of success on both the football field and basketball court and we’re very pleased to be able to offer its games to millions of listeners around the nation as the Wildcats compete for a Big 12 title,” said Steve Cohen, Vice President of Sports Programming for SIRIUS. “SIRIUS is committed to giving fans from coast to coast access to the best college games and the Wildcats are an excellent addition to our sports programming lineup. With a schedule that includes games from more 150 college partners, SIRIUS is a must-have for college sports fans.” ”We have worked diligently with Learfield Sports to increase the exposure of K-State athletics and we have accomplished that goal in this agreement with SIRIUS,” said Tim Weiser, K-State’s director of athletics. “This is an important development for our fans across the country.” With the addition of K-State, Sirius is the Official Satellite Radio Partner of 10 of the schools in the Big 12 Conference and the exclusive satellite radio provider of the official radio broadcasts of Baylor, Colorado, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
