Hamptons_Beth_CoverBeth Ostrosky, Howard Stern’s HOT fiancee, was recently featured in Hamptons Magazine.  She told the magazine that Howard and her love the Hamptons so much that they’re building a house there.

“The summer after Howard and I met, we started coming out to the Hamptons,” Beth tells the magazine. “That’s just been our thing every summer since then. That’s our joy; it’s what we look forward to all winter. That’s why we decided to build there. This is going to be our home; it’s the place we love best.”

Next is the potential bombshell.

They love it so much, says Ostrosky, that Stern may even retire there after he’s off satellite radio in a few years. “The ultimate dream is to live happily ever after in the Hamptons,” she says.

Stern is the underlying force that is driving subscribers to Sirius.  Although he is only a year and a half into his lucrative five year contract, Sirius must be worried about his potential departure. “A few years”, makes it sound like Stern will be leaving once his current contract expires. The day he leaves will be a disappointing day for both Sirius subscribers and investors.

In March 2006, Karmazin met with Stern in an attempt to get him to extend his five-year deal with a similar pay structure. ”He wasn’t interested,” said Mel Karmazin. “He’ll take his chances when the contract is up.”

Howard’s show has steadily gone downhill in the last six months. He interrupts staff and guests to let them know he’s in a hurry to leave, changes topics when he’s distracted, and has somehow managed to now take 13 weeks of vacation a year on his already-shortened four-day work week.

Sirius roped-in Stern fans on the premise of an uncensored, new-and-improved ‘old show,’ minus the commercials of FM radio; that lasted all of six months. Breaks for ads typically occur every hour and now last and average of 9 minutes.

That, along with Howard’s recent negativity, has turned-off all but the biggest @ss-kissing fans. Stern will soon leave and has every right to leave - but that should have been announced from the beginning.

Ahhhhh the smell of negativity from a fan that still listens 24/7 but manages to piss all over everything.

It was widely known from the beginning that Stern’s contract was for 5 yrs and whather he was going to extend it was unknown.

I’m not the least bit “turned-off” by the show or Stern and I have been a listener since ‘86. I personally think the show is better then ever, and if he retires when his contract is up, good for him. He’s certainly earned it.

By the way, remember, all this pissing and moaning you’re doing cuase it seems like you feel you’ve been duped?….. cancel if you’re unhappy. It’s just that simple. Tool.
