I can’t say I’m going to have any trouble sleeping tonight, but I do think tomorrow’s report is important. A strong report could provide some confidence that Sirius can both survive and prosper with or without the merger. Can you imagine the potential excitement surrounding the Q2 2008 report, if the merger is approved? On average, analysts polled by Thomson Financial project a loss of 10 cents per share on revenue of $228.3 million. Sirius reported a loss of 17 cents per share in the year-ago quarter. Sirius shares fell 6 percent in the quarter to finish June at $3.02. The stock has tended to trade on market rumors about the prospects of its planned purchase of XM.
